September 1st is the official start of the holiday fall decorating season at our house. It means fall decorating day. I woke up extremely excited about fall decorations even though Kevin did not share my sentiment.
He sees it as a day he has to go rummaging through the shed to find my boxes of fall decor. I on the other hand see it as the beginning of the holiday season.
The Beginning Of Pumpkin Season
The best sight to see is the shed door open and boxes outside the back door!

I will say Fall and Winter are my favorite seasons. Though Christmas is definitely my favorite holiday. Fall is like the precursor to Christmas and the start of the decorating fun.
Though it is still a little too early to start playing Christmas music it is one step closer to it! I am definitely one of those people who listen to Christmas music earlier than some people find acceptable.
Bringing The Boxes In
Surveying All Of Our Boxes, Or As Kevin Calls Them My Trinket Troves.
This year I had a copilot in my excitement for fall decorating. Grayson was absolutely enamored with all the pumpkins in the boxes and couldn’t wait to get his little fingers on them.
I absolutely loved how excited Grayson was and how much he wanted to help Mommy! There is something about the awe and excitement of a child that really makes moments magical!
I can’t wait till Christmas because I feel like he will absolutely love decorating! He is finally at the age where he understands more and is definitely more involved!
The Decorating Process
Since Everything Has A Process, Even Decorating!
Any time I put out new decorations for the season I take everything off and wipe everything down. It is definitely a great excuse to “fall” clean! Grayson definitely was not feeling the process and wanted to skip the cleaning part and go straight to decorating.
At some point, he got bored “helping” Mommy because the process took a little too long for his liking. This was evident when he started to pick the small berries off of the fall garland.
Something I like to do every year is to add a couple of new decorations to our current assortment. So who knows maybe I will sneak away some time and get a couple of new fall decor pieces to add. This is definitely something that is much harder to do with two little boys at home!

Because it had the least amount of things to work around, and it was closest to the boxes!
The Entryway Decorations Were Next
This was the easiest area in a sense because I only put little pumpkins on the ledge of the coat hook nook!

The Kitchen Fall Decorations
The most time-consuming area is because everything is up high. Though this means no little hands can reach it!

Finishing The Fall Decorations
Time To Enjoy The Fall Season!
I absolutely love having fall decorations out. Something about it gives a cozy feeling to the house. Along with the pumpkin-scented candles and wax melts there is just something warm, homey, and, festive that comes along with all things fall!
Though I do love fall decorations I have to say I still can’t wait till Christmas! These decorations will get me through until then! I hope everyone enjoys seeing a piece of our yearly fall tradition!
