My love for the Fisher-Price Jumperoo started Christmas 2017 when Santa left it under the tree for Grayson on his 1st Christmas. Grayson was about 3 months old at the time.
Of course, he didn’t really understand what it was but Kevin and I were super excited to open the box and put the Jumperoo together.
It seems like all new toys for your baby are so fun. Just watching as they experience new things. Their expressions are more or less what you live for.
Jumperoo Assembly Time
Putting the jumperoo together was extremely easy. The really nice thing about the jumperoo is once you put it all together it is super easy to disassemble and reassemble after that.
The jumperoo has three different height levels so that it can grow with the baby. And another important thing is the seat cover comes off super easy and washes really well.
Time To Jump, Jump, In The Jumperoo
And Jump And Jump And Jump Some More!
Well after assembly we could not wait to put Grayson in it. He absolutely loved it. It was his favorite place to be other than being held. He would jump his little heart out!
Which made me love it just as much because it meant I got a few minutes to do dishes or something without having to hold him. He absolutely loved jumping and playing in his Jumperoo!

When One Is Not Enough
Because two is always better than one!
So when we moved into our new house I knew an essential purchase would be a second Jumparoo for our new second-floor loft. I ended up buying the Fisher-Price Roaring Rainforest Jumperoo.
Again it was super simple to assemble and had all the same features as our first one which we now kept downstairs in our living room.
I will say that the Roaring Rainforest Jumparoo was definitely a little larger. The activity center heights also seem to start a little higher than our first one as well.
Other than those two differences and of course the different themed activities they both were very similar.
Grayson loved both of them and I think it was nice to have a change of activities from one to the other. Though his favorite part of both of them was jumping!
Bye, Bye, Jumperoo
Goodbye For Now, Not Forever!
So the day came when Grayson no longer had an interest in being in his Jumperoo and was more interested in crawling and walking soon thereafter. It was time to retire the dreamy contraption that gave me short moments of peace!
We had planned on having another child so in Grayson’s closet, they went. Grayson’s closet became a semi-storage space for us since it is quite large and was not really being used at the time.
When disassembled they were easily stored without taking up too much room. They were safely stored along with all the other baby things we were holding onto for the next one.

Hello Old Friends
Back so soon!
So when Mason was born we knew the Jumperoo would be brought back out soon enough. To once again be jumped in and loved by all, the jumper and the watchers!
Once Mason could hold his head up and was able to jump, we once again couldn’t wait to put the Jumperoo back together. We hoped it would be a hit just as it was with Grayson.
The Unexpected
Because there is always something you don’t plan on.
Well, what I didn’t intend was that Grayson would want to “jump” in the Jumperoo too! Being two and a half meant he was way too tall to actually jump. But that definitely didn’t stop him from trying.
So after meltdowns and lots of tears I talked Kevin into bringing both Jumperoo’s downstairs so they BOTH could jump. I knew Grayson would eventually get tired of being confined and we would no longer have to worry about him wanting in.
I will say he eventually was no longer interested in being in them but it definitely took a little while longer than I expected, or hoped! Sharing is definitely something we are working on and will probably be working on for quite some time I imagine.
The Jumperoo Is A Hit Once Again
No one-hit wonder here!
Mason loved both the Jumperoo’s just as much as Grayson did. I have noticed he plays with all the activities more than I ever remember Grayson doing. He seems very interested in all the things to look at and sounds to hear.
It is definitely not just all about the jumping for Mason! Another thing Mason does in his Jumperoo that Grayson NEVER did was fall asleep.
Sweet little Mason will fall asleep jumping and startle himself awake and continue jumping and then fall asleep again. This will continue until you pick him up!
New Stages
Oh, how time flies! Especially if you’re jumping all the time!
I am somewhat sad to say we are coming close to the end of our need for the Jumperoo. Mason still likes to jump and play in it and when I need to have him in a confined space it is still the perfect place for him to be. But he has started crawling, pulling himself up and exploring.
That taste of freedom definitely makes confinement a hard sell. I will enjoy my fleeting moments of Jumperoo fun and look forward to the new stages in life with two walking munchkins!
