Though when Dr. Brown’s bottles became our go-to bottle for our first son I was not all that elated. The fact that the bottle came with five separate parts didn’t bode well with my sleep-deprived struggles for streamlining.

After I accepted that this was the bottle that worked best for both of my boys I moved past my defeat of bottle washing woes and embraced the chosen bottle. There are plenty of things to love about Dr. Brown’s line.

There are so many products that the line offers that are perfect for all things baby. Whether it be for feeding, teething, cleaning, and more.

So I decided that I would share with you my favorite Dr. Brown’s products.

Below are my top six favorite Dr. Brown products that are essential in our house.

#1

Dr. Brown’s Baby Bottles

Natural Flow, Options+, Wide Neck, Glass, And Plastic

Dr. Brown Bottles

Starting my list off with the essential to Dr. Brown’s line is the anti-colic bottles.

These bottles are marketed for helping reduce colic and feeding issues associated with bottle feeding.

As I started this post off with, I have a love-hate relationship with Dr. Brown’s Bottles. I absolutely HATE washing all the pieces that come along with using Dr. Brown’s bottles. On the other hand, I absolutely love how they make feeding more enjoyable for both my baby and me.

After trying other options the only bottle that didn’t cause gas, discomfort, and exasperation of colic symptoms was Dr. Brown’s.

These were the only bottles that worked for both of my boys and I would recommend for anyone struggling with feeding issues with their baby.

Something I really like about Dr. Brown’s Bottles that is not really a functionality thing more of an aesthetic aspect is the different themed bottles they offer.

I love that they have bottles for different seasons, genders, holidays, and so forth. It makes the bottles a little more fun and festive.

Dr. Brown's Wide Neck Bottle

Dr. Brown’s baby bottles offer multiple types, ounces, nipple flows, and so forth. We have used the original blue, wide neck, options+, 2 oz, 4 oz, 8 oz, and 9 oz bottles.

They have all worked the same and delivered on their promise.

The only issue I have had with these bottles would be leaking. This only occurs when the bottle is filled over the “do not fill over the line” warning on the bottles. The advice on the bottle is definitely sound advice when making a Dr. Brown bottle.

Dr. Brown’s Sterilizers

Microwave Steam Sterilizer, Microwave Steam Sterilizer Bag, And Electric Bottle Sterilizer.

Dr. Brown's Microwave Steam Bag Sterilizer
Dr. Brown's Electric Sterilizer
Dr. Brown's Microwave Sterilizer

Next on my list of Dr. Brown’s must-haves would be one of the lines sterilizing systems. I have used two of these and think they are great in their own rights.

For my first son, which was my first baby, I sterilized his bottles after every use.

For this, I used the electric bottle sterilizer which made the process super easy.

The electric sterilizer holds six bottles and all associated parts.

When my second son was born I became somewhat laxer on the notion that his bottles needed sterilizing after every use. I guess when you have two to wrangle you let go of certain obsessions.

I mean my Dad always likes to tell me that with my older brother they sterilized everything and with me wiping it off was good enough. And I turned out alright.

I still used the electric sterilizer on occasion. But once I tried the Microwave Steam Sterilizer Bags I fell in love. (I mean if it’s possible to do so with such a thing!) It made it so easy to sterilize bottles, pacifiers, teethers, and the like whenever necessary.

Instead of having the electric sterilizer out on the counter all I had to do was pour the designated amount of water into the bag, insert the parts I needed to sterilize, and microwave.

Once done you pour the excess water out of the side slit of the bag and allow to cool for 10 minutes and VOILA they were done. Along with the added bonus that each bag can be used multiple times.

So I suppose I will say that whether you sterilize all the time or on occasion both of these Dr. Brown’s Sterilizing Systems are essential.

#3

Dr. Brown’s Bottle Warmer

Deluxe Baby Bottle Warmer, Delux Bottle Warmer & Sterilizer, AND MilkSPA Breast Milk & Bottle Warmer

I have to start by saying that neither of my boys really liked their bottles warmed. They were both too eager to eat to ever actually wait for a bottle to be warmed. They both would rather have it whatever temperature meant that got to eat it faster.

I initially tried other bottle warmers when Grayson was born and they all seemed horrible. They either didn’t warm the bottle or the bottle was too hot. As well as being a nightmare to clean.

When Mason was born I bought Dr. Brown’s Deluxe Bottle Warmer and it was the absolute best.

It was the quickest, most consistent temperature-wise, easiest to clean, and all-around most durable bottle warmer I had tried.

If your baby likes a warm bottle than this is the bottle warmer for you. I would recommend it to anyone especially those who are using Dr. Brown’s bottles.

I will say I was quite impressed with the fact that Dr. Brown’s line offers multiple types of bottle warmer options.

#4

Dr. Brown’s Pacifiers

Advantage, PreVent, And HappyPaci

Next on my list I suppose only pertains to those babies that like pacifiers. These are essential in our house. Dr. Brown’s Pacifiers are the same shape as the nipple on their bottles. They have been a huge hit with both of my boys.

We started both boys out with the pacifiers that we were given at the hospital which were the Philips Avent Soothie for Grayson and the RaZbaby Jollypop for Mason.

With Grayson, we went straight to Dr. Brown’s after his initial introduction.

I kind of wanted Mason to have a different pacifier than Grayson so I initially tried the Soothies, then the MAM, and then we settled on Dr. Brown’s.

There are three different kinds of Dr. Brown pacifiers Advantage Pacifier, PreVent Pacifier, and HappyPaci Silicone Pacifier.

Neither one of my boys liked Dr. Brown’s Advantage or PreVent pacifiers. Both boys preferred Dr. Brown’s HappyPaci Silicone Pacifier.

I will say they are not as readily available as other pacifiers. So every time I have to make a trip to BuyBuyBaby I normally pick up a pack or two.

These pacifiers have been very durable and last us a while as long as they don’t go “missing”. The little silicone handles help aid in easy carrying for little ones.

#5

Dr. Brown’s Lovey

Lion, Giraffe, Bunny, Turtle, Fox, AND More

These are another essential in our household. I will say my almost-three-year-old has somewhat waned on his love for his lovely. Though it still stays in his crib with him as a stuffed animal though not a paci holder anymore.

Mason my nine-month-old absolutely loves his Dr. Brown’s bunny lovey that I’m pretty sure was “stolen” from his brother. I guess you could say rehomed!

These are not just adorable “first” stuffed animals for babies they are paci finders. They help aid in little ones being able to find their paci in the middle of the night and fall right back to sleep.

These loveys are super easy to wash. There are multiple attachment snaps that allow for multiple pacifiers and teethers to be attached at once.

I absolutely love these and would recommend them to any family with a paci lover. My two boys love them though both in different ways as they both grow in different stages.

Dr. Brown’s Sippy Cups

Dr. Brown’s Baby’s First Straw Cup
Dr. Brown’s Soft Spout Transition Cup
Dr. Brown’s Transition Bottle
Dr. Brown’s Cheers360 Spoutless Transition Cup
Dr. Brown’s Soft Spout Toddler Cup
Dr. Brown’s Hard Spout Sippy Cup
Dr. Brown’s Straw Sippy Cup
Dr. Brown’s Spoutless Insulated Cup
AND More!

There are plenty of options when it comes to Dr. Brown’s sippy cups. This is not an inclusive list of all the sippy cup options Dr. Brown’s line offers but it touches the general basis to give you an idea of the wide range of options there are to choose from.

The two that we have used and loved are Dr. Browns First Straw Cup and Dr. Brown’s Soft Spout Transition Cup.

The First Straw Cup is perfect for learning to drink from a straw with its weighted straw, handles, and removable lid.

My three-year-old still wants to use this cup to this day. When his little brother gets his juice in this cup he wants to use one of the cups as well.

This cup has been super durable, easy to clean, and easy for both boys to use. I would recommend Dr. Brown’s First Straw Cup for any baby’s first cup.

The other sippy cup that we have used in Dr. Brown’s line is the Soft Spout Transition Cup. This has also been a reliable go-to cup for us as well.

Mason is still working on tilting the cup up to drink and this is definitely a great first cup to learn with.

We have never had any issues with spilling or leaking with this cup. The sippy cup has handles and a soft spout to aid in seamless use for little ones.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Brown’s Soft Spout Transition cup for any baby’s first sippy cup without a straw.

I feel like regardless of what your baby has a preference for whether that be a straw, no straw, hard spout, soft spout, spoutless, and so forth Dr. Brown’s line offers an option for them.

Final Thoughts On Dr. Brown’s

There are definitely more things and options that Dr. Brown’s line offers other than what I have listed above. I have found their line to be larger than I actually realized.

I kept seeing new and different options that I didn’t even know Dr. Brown’s offered as I was looking online while writing this post. These are just some of my favorites that we have used throughout raising our two boys.

Though I still have some hard feelings towards the number of parts that come along with Dr. Brown’s baby bottles I do think that the are great bottles. They absolutely make feeding both of my boys way more enjoyable.

I hope you find some of these Dr. Drown’s products helpful and wish everyone luck in their journey raising their little ones!
